Dear Parents/Guardians,

As you are aware from media reports, the Governor has closed all schools indefinitely.  First and foremost are our thoughts for your family’s health and safety. Please make sure to practice “Social Distancing” and the many other precautions that have been suggested by the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the CDC. Social Distancing will become even more challenging as the weather becomes warmer and students will want to spend time outside with friends. Although “Social Distancing” may be difficult, it is imperative.

Thank you for your support as we have moved to an online format to be able to provide review and enrichment activities for our students. This will continue as we move forward. If you have any questions about your child’s online program, please reach out to your child’s teacher through email. Sessions began this week and your child should be aware or their online schedule.

As we move forward, the following days in our current school calendar will be now be instructional days for students.

                        April 9

                        April 13

                        April 14

                        May 22

Finally, please remember that bagged meals are available for pickup at the High School and Renn Elementary School on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm for all students. A change in our program status will now allow us to serve meals to pre-school aged children as well.  Parents/Guardians can pick up bagged meals without bringing their children. If your children walk to the school to pick up bagged meals, please encourage them to follow social distancing.

Eventually life will get back to normal. But, during this unsettling time, our entire staff is focused on providing as much consistency and support to our students as possible.

If you have any concerns, please feel free to contact me.
