Dear Spartan Family,
We are certainly all navigating interesting waters as we come together (but stay apart) as an educational community to provide our students with opportunities to continue learning.
Over the last several days, the teachers of the East Lycoming School District – led by their building principals – have been meeting, planning, inventing, and creating ways to provide our students with opportunities. The Pennsylvania Department of Education has provided us with some guidelines to provide enrichment and review activities and opportunities for our students.
For the rest of this week, teachers will be reaching out to our families and sharing plans for the delivery of educational content. On Thursday and Friday, teachers will be piloting some tools and delivery options for our students.
Please encourage your student or students at home to be looking for communication from their teachers (JSHS in Sapphire and Elementary through email and other tools like Class Dojo, etc.). If your child does not know their email address – go to gmail.com and their email is – email@example.com. Their password is their student lunch number or ID number followed by elsd. (Ex. 12345elsd)
Teachers will provide to your child a daily schedule of what they can expect for next week.
We have always been proud of being part of the Spartan Family and it is in times like these that the reasons why are endless.
Take care, stay safe, and stay at home.
