Dear Spartan Families,
I would like to provide updated information to you as we continue to deal with the COVID19 outbreak. We continue to stay in close contact with Department of Health, Education and Emergency management. There have not yet been any confirmed cases of COVID19 in our county.
As with any crisis, rumors are everywhere. At this point in time, we have not made a decision to close schools. This does not mean that we are not actively planning if a closure does arise. If a school closure does become a reality, we will provide you with as much information as possible. Because this is such a fluid state, we have asked all students to take their Chromebooks home as a precautionary measure. Montgomery County schools were recently closed by the Governor with no one being able to reenter the school for the two-week closure period. Again, no decision has been made to close schools.
We are continuing our “no visitor” policy, canceling field trips and thoroughly cleaning all buildings nightly. We have also canceled weekend and evening events to provide the safest environment possible for our students.
As always our goal is student safety. Thank you for your time and support as we navigate the challenging waters that we now face.
